What Are SuperLinks?
SuperLinks are a completely free tool in SuperProfile that let you create smart, trackable links. They’re designed to optimize how and where your audience clicks, while giving you insights into performance.
With SuperLinks you can:
Opens in App Links – These links open directly in the destination app (Instagram, YouTube, Spotify, WhatsApp, etc.) instead of a browser. This reduces drop-offs and usually means better conversions, especially on mobile.
Note: This works best for apps, rather than for individual websites.
Short Links – Clean, branded spf.bio/... URLs that look professional and are easier to share in places like emails, PDFs, or presentations.
Think of them as a way to not only shorten links but also measure performance and reduce friction for your audience.
Getting Started: Finding SuperLinks
From your dashboard, click SuperLinks in the left-hand sidebar.
2. You’ll land on the SuperLinks tab (where you create and manage links).
3. Next to it, there’s an Analytics tab (where you’ll analyze how your links are performing once they’re live).
⚡️ Tip: If you’re planning multiple campaigns for the same page (say, one for a digital product, and another for a 1:1 booking), create all your links here. That way, their analytics stay in one place for easy comparison of traffic.
Step 1: Choose Your Link Type
Option 1: Opens in App
Best when most of your audience is clicking from mobile, and the destination works better inside its app (e.g., Instagram profile → Instagram app).Option 2: Short Link
Best when sharing in emails, PDFs, or with desktop audiences. Also safer if the platform you’re posting on blocks app-opening links.
⚡️ Tip: Match link type to traffic source.
Instagram Story → “Opens in App” works best.
Newsletter → “Short Link” is more reliable.
Option 1: Creating an “Opens in App” Link
Click on Create under "Open in App"
Add Your Destination URL
Paste the URL of the page you want people to land on (e.g., a YouTube video or your SuperProfile Digital Product page), and click on "Create".
Preview and Customize Your Link
After creating it, you’ll see a preview. Here, you can Customize Link & Add the SuperLink to your Online Store. To refine your link, click Customize Link.
Here you can:Change the destination URL later without making a new link.
Add UTMs* for tracking.
Edit the link slug (e.g., spf.bio/webinar instead of random characters).
Update how the link looks when shared (title, description, image) - You can preview what it will look like on the right hand side of the screen
Understanding UTMs*
UTMs are little “tags” you add to links so analytics can tell you where traffic is coming from. You’ll see fields like:Source → The platform sending the traffic (e.g., Instagram, Email, Facebook).
Medium → The type of channel (e.g., Story, Post, Newsletter).
Campaign → The specific promotion (e.g., “Launch2025”).
Term (optional) → Keywords (rarely needed unless you’re testing ads).
Content (optional) → Used to distinguish between different creatives (e.g., “Video1” vs “Video2”).
👉 Example: If you share a link in your Instagram Story with Source=Instagram and Medium=Story, your analytics will show clicks specifically from that story.
⚡️ Tip: Even if you don’t use all UTM fields, always fill in Source and Medium. That alone makes your analytics way more useful.
Option 2: Creating a Short Link
Click "Create" under "Short-Link"
Paste your destination URL.
Add UTMs if you want campaign-level tracking (same as above).
⚡️ When to use this: Short links are especially good for desktop users, documents, or when you just want a neat, branded link.
Step 2: Managing Your Links
Once created, your SuperLinks appear in the Links dashboard. Here’s how to read it:
Engagement → Shows the number of clicks your link has received. This tells you what’s working at a glance.
Created Date → Helps you keep track of when each campaign went live.
Quick Actions →
⚡️ Tip: Avoid deleting links unless necessary. Editing keeps the analytics history intact.
Step 3: Tracking with Analytics
Click the Analytics tab (next to the Links Tab) for a deeper dive. Here’s what you’ll find:
Total Clicks → Overall traffic. Use filters (top right) to see results for all links or just one campaign, and compare by date range.
Clicks by Device → Shows how many people are on mobile, desktop, or tablet. If most traffic is mobile, make sure your landing pages are mobile-friendly.
Clicks by UTMs → Breaks down your tagged campaigns (e.g., Instagram Story vs. Email). This is where the Source/Medium/Campaign fields come to life.
Top Locations → A map of where your clicks are coming from. Useful for tailoring offers or content regionally.
Clicks Over Time → Lets you see traffic trends day by day and spot spikes tied to specific posts or promotions.
You can also filter analytics about your SuperLinks according to the specific SuperLink and time period on the top right corner of the page
⚡️ Tip: If one channel (say, 1:1 Booking) consistently drives more clicks than another (say, Digital Product), that’s a sign to focus more effort there.
