What is Zapier?
Zapier is an automation tool that lets you connect SuperProfile with other apps like HubSpot, MailerLite, Google Sheets, Slack, and more.
With Zapier, you can automatically send data from SuperProfile to other tools without manual work.
For example:
Add new leads to your email list
Send leads to your CRM
Track data in Google Sheets
Get notified when someone makes a purchase
Each automation in Zapier is called a Zap, and it follows a simple structure:
Trigger → Action
When something happens → Do something automatically
Connecting Zapier to SuperProfile
To start using Zapier, you first need to connect it to your SuperProfile account.
1. Log in to your SuperProfile dashboard
2. Click on your profile (bottom-left corner)
3. Go to Account Settings
4. Open the Integrations tab
5. Find Zapier and click Connect
You’ll be redirected to Zapier.
Log in to your Zapier account
Or create a new account using email or Google
Once connected, you’ll be able to use SuperProfile inside Zapier.
Creating Your First Zap
After connecting Zapier, you can create your first automation.
Go to Zapier
Click on Create → Zaps
OR
Use the Copilot box to describe your workflow
This will open the Zap builder.
Setting Up the Trigger (SuperProfile)
Here, again, you can choose to type your prompt into Copilot (and it pretty much handles the rest for you)
OR
You can manually build your zap using the steps below:
Step 1: Set Up the Trigger (SuperProfile)
The trigger is the event that starts your automation.
Click on Trigger
2. Search for and select SuperProfile
3. Choose a trigger event
Here’s what each option means:
New Lead → Someone shares their details (email, phone, etc.)
Auto DM Lead → A lead comes through your AutoDM funnel
New Purchase → Someone buys a product
New Follower → Someone follows you on Instagram via SuperProfile
Purchase Abandon → Someone starts the checkout process but does not complete the purchase.
Subscription Expired → Triggered when a user’s active subscription ends or is not renewed.
4. Select your SuperProfile account
5. Click Test Trigger
Zapier will pull recent data from your account.
6. Select a sample record and click Continue
Step 2: Set Up the Action
The action is what happens after the trigger, and where you tell Zapier how to send data from SuperProfile to the other app.
Example:
Email (SuperProfile) → Email (HubSpot)
Name (SuperProfile) → Name (MailerLite)
After setting up your Trigger, you should automatically be redirected to the next step (Action), but in the case this doesn't happen:
1. Click on Action
2. Search for the app you want to connect
For example:
HubSpot (CRM)
MailerLite (email marketing)
Google Sheets (data tracking)
3. Choose what you want the app to do
Examples:
Create a contact
Add a subscriber
Create a new row
4. Connect your account
5. Click Continue
Step 3: Test Your Zap
Before going live, test your setup.
Click Test Step
Zapier will send sample data to your selected app
Check if:
The contact was created
The data looks correct
Step 4: Publish Your Zap
Click Publish
Your Zap is now live
From now on, every time the trigger happens, the action will run automatically.
Example Use Cases
Here are a few ways you can use Zapier with SuperProfile:
Add leads to your email list - Automatically send new leads to MailerLite or ConvertKit and start email campaigns.
Send leads to a CRM- Store contacts in HubSpot to track and follow up.
Track leads in Google Sheets - Maintain a record of all leads and analyze performance.
Get notifications - Send alerts to Slack when someone signs up or makes a purchase.
Using Copilot (Optional)
Instead of setting everything manually, you can describe your workflow.
Example:
“Send new leads from SuperProfile to HubSpot and tag them based on source”
Zapier will automatically create the Zap for you.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
Not mapping the email field (required for most apps)
Creating duplicate contacts instead of updating existing ones
Skipping the test step
Not tracking where your leads come from
Final Thoughts
Zapier helps you automate repetitive work and connect your tools.
Instead of manually managing leads, you can:
Capture data
Send it to the right tools
Automate follow-ups
Track performance
Once set up, everything runs automatically in the background.
