Connect your Facebook Page

Before you can build a single Messenger automation, you’ll connect a Facebook Page to AutoDM. It takes about a minute — here’s exactly how, and what to do if your Page doesn’t show up. Applies to: Facebook Page (Messenger) automations · ~5 min read

Before you start

  • It must be a Facebook Page — not your personal profile. Messenger AutoDM works with Pages, the public presence businesses and creators use. If you only have a personal profile, create a Page first.

  • You must be an admin of the Page. Connecting requires admin access. If someone else owns the Page, ask them to make you an admin (or to connect it themselves).

  • You’re on a paid plan. Messenger AutoDM is available on paid plans. On free or Starter plans the feature appears locked with an upgrade prompt. (See What is Messenger AutoDM?)

  • Have your Facebook login handy. You’ll log in with Facebook as part of connecting.

Step-by-step

  1. Open AutoDM and go to your connected accounts
Head to AutoDM in your SuperProfile dashboard. This is where every connected account and automation lives. Look for the area where you add or manage accounts.

  2. Choose to connect a Facebook Page (Messenger)

Start a new connection and pick the Facebook Page / Messenger option. This tells AutoDM you’re connecting for Messenger automations rather than Instagram.

  3. Log in with Facebook

A Facebook login window opens. Sign in with the Facebook account that has admin access to the Page you want to connect. If you’re already logged in to Facebook in your browser, you may just need to confirm it’s you.

  4. Pick the Page you want to connect

Facebook shows the Pages you manage. Select the Page you’d like to use for Messenger AutoDM. If you manage several, choose carefully — you can always connect more later.

  5. Grant the permissions AutoDM asks for
To send and manage DMs on your behalf, AutoDM needs your okay to do a few things for that Page — like managing the Page’s messages, reading engagement on your Posts, and managing posts. Continue through Facebook’s permission screens and allow what it asks for.

⚠️ Leave the permissions switched on
If you toggle some of these permissions off during the Facebook flow, AutoDM may not be able to send DMs or read comments — and your automations won’t work as expected. Keep them all enabled so everything runs smoothly.

  6. Confirm — and find your Page in AutoDM

Once Facebook hands you back, your Page is connected. It appears in your AutoDM accounts under Messenger. From here you’re ready to create your first automation.

    ✅ You’re connected — what now?

With your Page under Messenger, head to The 3 Messenger triggers explained to choose how people will start a DM, then build your first automation.

Troubleshooting

Most connection hiccups come down to admin access or which Facebook account you used. Here’s how to sort the common ones.

Frequently asked

I don’t see my Page in the list. Where is it?

Two things to check. First, make sure you logged in with the Facebook account that administers the Page — a Page only appears for its admins. Second, confirm it’s an actual Facebook Page, not a personal profile (only Pages can be connected). If you were just made an admin, give it a moment and try connecting again.

Can I connect more than one Page?

Yes. You can connect multiple Pages and switch between them in the account picker. See Manage your connected Pages.

Do I have to reconnect if I change my Facebook password?

Sometimes. If you change your password, remove AutoDM’s permissions, or the access expires, the connection can break and automations pause until you reconnect. The app will prompt you to reconnect when that happens. See Fix a broken Page connection.
